Or maybe I was just fucking retarded.Either way, I never expected the sheer amount of layers and intricacies everything surrounding the process has. I know there's more I'm probably unaware of. I'd start grabbing text to translate and end up contrasting two different online dictionaries, banging my head against a wall because the translations kept sounding like ESL unnatural shit. I'd open Photoshop to paste the translations into the bubbles and end up browsing obscure 2014 blogs looking for typesetting guides and fonts, because the text I edited kept looking like shit. And don't get me started about the cleaning and redrawing part, my first fucking idea was to use PAINT BUCKET TOOL to clean SFXs.I could rant about this adventure for a long time, so I hope the shitty afterword memes can convey a tenth of my struggles and thoughts towards the process. Maybe even get some veteran scanlators to laugh and reminisce about their first projects, even if it ended up too shitpostery. Meganeko98's partial release didn't sit right with me, so I hope I did the full doujin justice with this one.
